My Great Early Wake-up Challenge
In The Great Early Wake-up Challenge Wellington Grey announces he will use the idea of public and humiliating failure to try and get up earlier. I have also been working on getting up earlier with some mixed success.
Getting to actually working seems to be the big problem. It seems easy to just very slowly shower, have breakfast, and browse the internets. I am now planning to actually first do at least an hour of work before showering and having breakfast. To make it public, I’ll twitter when I get started working.
This morning I did it for the first time, follow me on twitter kasterma to see my progress.
The goal is to be active by 5:15 every day. This means I should be up at 5, so that there is enough time to get dressed and make some tea. This was a good first day with this. Getting started like that worked out quite well in the remainder of the day. It has been productive.
I am going to start doing this for at least a month, then reevaluate to see how it worked out. On July 2 I hope to be able to report on a month of waking up nice and early. Wait, see, and please do reprimand me when I am up too late.
